Dark chocolate can you eat during the diet?


There is no dispute that chocolate is a favorite of most of the world population. That is sweet and caloric does not mean that some of its variations can not be part of your healthy diet.

Types of chocolate:
There are three types of chocolate.
- White is made from cocoa butter without adding extra cocoa, which gives light and color.
- Milk chocolate, sweet chocolate called restrain a large amount of milk fat, which makes it poor in antioxidants and rich in fat and most damaging to shape
- Dark (black) chocolate is the healthiest kind. Contains a large quantity of cocoa and little or no added sugar or sweeteners.

When you choose dark chocolate, buy one with a least 70% cocoa and cocoa butter, coconut or palm not because they are sources of unhealthy saturated fats.


Benefits
According to University of Michigan Health System's Department of Integrative Medicine has several benefits from the consumption of dark chocolate.
- Is rich in antioxidants
- Reduces cholesterol in the blood
- Improves circulation
- Reduces the risk of heart disease
- Stimulates the production of serotonin and endorphins in the body
- Is useful as a dietary food supplement plans in moderation

Risks
- Contains caffeine, a natural stimulant that can lead to headaches, anxiety, digestive problems and bladder.
- Contains oxalate, which can cause formation of kidney stones
- Can cause the emergence of a serious form of migraine, but it is rather a hypothesis than a proven fact

Include 200 g dark chocolate a week in its menu, about 30 grams per day to get maximum benefit from it. Avoid milk and white chocolate.

!Remember, chocolate and black with many calories, so the key is moderation in consumption.
